Manager: Application Migrations Contract
The lead figure in a very large, global,
scaleable, centralised function that would look to take the banks applications,
residing on approximately 40,000 systems from their current state onto a
virtualised environment. This also included Infrastructure, Storage, Backups,
Disaster Recovery and Data Centre exits. (ie. reduce the number of Data Centres
from 20 to 6 globally)
Took a high level vision and created the
architecture to achieve this. Proceeded to put in place new teams in global
regions, to run the various components of the new process. The teams included
Initial Discovery & Analysis, Runbook Command Control Centre, Change Management,
Resourcing, Reporting & Metrics, Compliance & Regulatory. The
resourcing profile was 70% offshore to keep costs down, and key pivotal
resources being local in each global region. Reporting to Director Level
stakeholders.

and implementation of the global helpdesk processes and resolver groups with a
rigid Change Control function to ensure quality was in place, in order to

Established a Revenue Pipeline in the
territory for professional services. Key clients below:
Royal Saudi Air Force:
Brought in to Rescue an ailing programme for this prestigious client in the Middle East . Managed to turn it into a success, and
delivered the Air Force their BMC based IT Service Desk, Service Support,
Automation and Assurance services. Including data modelling of their specific
Command Control & Communications equipment (C4i). Built a local team from
scratch using international resources and delivered the solution to their Head
Quarters and 7 of their Air Bases.
Aramco: Finalised
the delivery of a delayed programme for the Largest Oil Company in the World.
Working with very tight timelines, a disgruntled client and managed to deliver
a functional IT Service Mgmt solution and centralised CMDB for their IT Asset
Mgmt. Ensuring Operational Readiness, Post GoLive Support and escalation
services where required. Restored corporate confidence with the client.
Abu Dahbi Ground Forces Military:
Scoping and Preparation of a Statement of Work for new business for a complete
IT Service Mgmt & IT Asset Mgmt & CMDB solution.
Mobily Telecom:
Preparing a bid and Statement of Work for the first Private Cloud in the
region. Scoping, high level planning and pricing. Also finalised previous
project activities.

datacentre connectivity. Successful Business Readiness, Service Transition and
handover to Operations. (Two months after leaving was invited back for the team
and client party celebration).
